There is a large wool factory and teacher trading institute in the town. Ankober is located a short distance of 43 kms from Debre Berhan built on the edge of the great escarpment of the Rift valley. Day 1

In the morning, after breakfast transfer to the airport for an early flight to Dire Dawa. The flight will take 40- 45 minutes. After Lunch drive some 54 km to Harrar , up the escarpment of the Rift valley which is a memorable experience. On your way you pass through Lakes Adele and Alemaya. Then you travel through the rich and green farmland and the colorful Chat market of Awedai. Late in the afternoon sight-seeing in Harar including the museum and the mosques. There are 99 mosques here. Harar is considered to be the 4th most Holy City of Islam. Late in the evening you will see the hyena man feeding, giving food to theses animals with his hands/Mouth. Dinner and overnight at Harar.

Day 2

After breakfast depart for sight-seeing in Harar including the palace of Ras Mekonnen, the Rimbaud House, named after the French poet, who chose Harar as his city of exile from French intolerance. Then visit the wall of Harar with its five gates and see the market area which is most colorful. Afternoon drive to Dire Dawa and spend the rest of the day at leisure.Dinner and overnight at Dire Dawa.

Day 3

On the last day leave the hotel for sight- seeing tour in Dire Dawa including the Afeteissa and the Chat Market. The market place is frequented by camel- herding Oromos, Somalis, Isaas and Afars. Visit some caves near the town with pre-historic cave paintings. Lunch in Dire Dawa. Late in the afternoon you will be transferred to the airport for a flight to Addis Ababa.

Day 4
