Day 1

In the morning after Breakfast drive to Arbaminch- meaning “city of forty springs”, largest in Southern Ethiopia; it is situated between the Rift Valley, Lake Abaya and Lake Chamo, on the way visit the TIYA Stele and Melka Kunitre Archeological sites Overnight Arbaminch

Day 2

After break fast drive to Jinka on the way visit the “Key Afer Market (if the day is Thursday) to see How Tsemai, Benna, Ari tribes make business in this colorful Market. Overnight Jinka

Day 3

After break fast drive to Mago National park to visit the Mursi village (Mursi people are very colorful with a lot of body decoration, ornaments and most remarkable characteristics is the lip disk for which they are famous over the world). Overnight Jinka

Day 4

After breakfast drive to Konso to meet the locals who are famous for Terracing, who erect Totem Poles on the tombs of their dead chiefs. Then drive back to Arbaminch. Overnight Arbaminch

Day 5

Drive directly to Addis Ababa.

Sothern Ethiopia, THE RIFT VALLEY LAKES AND ARBERMINCH

Day 1

After breakfast drive to Awassa via the industrial part of Addis Ababa. Lunch en route. Afternoon sight seeing in Awassa including handcrafts center and Lake Awassa, where you see Hippos. Dinner and overnight at Awassa.

Day 2

After breakfast visit the fish market and Tabor Mountain to have panoramic view over the city. Drive to Arbaminch through the beautiful landscape, Alaba Villages, Welayta local farm’s and villages. After Lunch visit Chencha ,the Dorze traditional houses looks like beehive ,weaving ,pottery makings and traditional dances .Over night Dorze Trational Hosuse /Lodge.

Day 3

In the morning drive to Konso passing through ArbaMinch to visit the ethnic tribe of Konso and observe their way of life which is usually making crafts, cotton dress and the social life , their traditional Houses “Waka” the Konso Totem Poles erected on the top of their dead chiefs (Kings’ Kala “) . Drive back to Arbaminch ,Dinner and Over night ArbaMinch.

Day 4

In the morning drive to NeshSar National Park ,where you see different species of birds and wildlife’s such as :-Bercher Zebras ,Gazelles, Swains Hartebeest, Waterbucketc….In the afternoon make a boat trip on Lake Chamo where Crocodiles and Hippos live .Dinner and overnight ArbaMinch.

Day 5

Drive back to Addis via Butajera, on the way visit the 13th until 16th century Tiya Stele, in Gurague Region ,one of registered World heritage site by UNESCO, and visit 13th century rock –hewn church of Adadi Mariam which is considered as an extension of the Lalibela rock –hewn churches . Dinner and Overnight Addis Ababa .

Day 1

Leave Addis Ababa, drive Via Debrezeit to Mojo and Awassa, Lunch en route. Afternoon drive around Awassa to visit Sisal factory, handcraft center and climb mount Tabour for the panoramic view of Awassa. Tribal dance of the Sidamo young girls and boys are entertaining. Dinner and overnight at Awassa

Day 2

After breakfast and visiting the fish market depart for Goba or Dinsho through farmlands enjoying on your way the Scenery of the area, Lunch en route and dinner. At Dinsho headquarters a one kilometer Nature Trail has been designed up Dinsho Hill. This gives a brief, introduction to the plants and animals of the area, and the location of the main park. Overnight at Goba or Dinsho

Day 3

Next morning pack a lunch box and drive to the Sof Omer Caves. The cave lies at 1300 m above sea level. The caves themselves carry the whole flow of the web river, that rises in the Bale mountain, under-ground through wonderfully carved caverns for a distance of one and half kilometers. Overnight Goba

Day 4

Drive to Sodere, Enjoying the hot-spring at Sodere, Lunch en route. Dinner and over night hotel at Sodere

Day 5

Drive back to Addis Ababa

Day 5

In the morning drive to Sodere. Enjoy in the Natural hot- springs at Sodere. Lunch en route. Dinner overnight at Sodere.

Day 6

On the last day of the tour drive back to Addis Ababa.

In the morning, visit Netch Sar National park passing through Arbaminch Forest and crossing the Bridge of Kulfo River-people call it ‘the bridge of God,” reach Netch Sar, here you can find a great number of birds and wild animals. In the afternoon, make a boat trip on Lake Chamo, where a lot of crocodiles and hippos live. Overnight Arbaminch

Day 3

After break fast drive to Turmi, visit the Bena people and the Hammer people and every Monday there is a spectacular Hammer Market in Turmi. Hammer people dances and their marriage ceremonies with Bull Jumping and the women color their hair with red earth and butter and wear elegant leather skirts festooned with tiny pearls. Overnight Turmi camping/Lodge

Day 6

After breakfast drive to Konso to meet the locals who are famous for Terracing, who erect totem poles on the tombs of their dead chiefs. Overnight Konso camping

Day 7

Drive to Awassa or Wendo Genet, on the way visit the village of Alaba and see the beautiful love Lake of Awassa. Overnight Awassa/Wendo Genet

Day 8

In the morning see the Fish Market in Awassa and drive to Addis Ababa via Rift valley Lakes, Shalla, Abyata and Ziway. An abundant number of flamingos and other water birds on the Lakes, en route visit the Abyata-Shalla National park. During the evening hours, dinner will be organized in one of the traditional restaurants of Addis with a cultural Music show.

Drive to Murulle to visit the karo people. The Karo adorn their bodies with different paintings, done for dance, feast, or celebration. Yellow mineral rock, black charcoal and pulverized red iron ore are traditionally used for the body painting. They use biros, nails, candy wrappers, and cartridges for body for body decoration. O/N Camping in Turmi

Day 7

Drive to Yebello , on the way visit Konso and meet the locals who are excellent for a pagan Society, who erect Totem Poles on the tombs of their dead, through Erbore and Tsemai tribes and visit konso villages Mechega Konso people are famous on Terracing and foe wood working. Continue driving to visit the chew bet (salt mining), and the Borena village. O/N Yebellomotel

Day 8

After breakfast drive to wondo Genete en route visit “chencha” the beautiful land of the Dorze people, known for their bamboo bee have shaped houses. The road to Chencha starts form north of Arba Minch, then to the west which leads to the mountainous region. O/N Wendo Genete

Day 9

Relax in the Natural hot spring of Wondo Genet, and Drive to Addis Ababa via Rift Valley lakes, shalla, Abyata and Ziway. An abundant number of flamingos and other water birds on the lakes. During the evening hours, Dinner will be organized in one of the traditional restaurant of Addis with a Cultural Music show.
